The love, inspiration, care, and joy she gives her kids, family, and friends is INCREDIBLE. We all would not be here without her.
Since Susan retired during June 2016, she has been very busy traveling throughout the United States and abroad! Each adventure allowed her to reminisce on old memories when Stan was around while creating new ones!
Since we launched the Team Nebinski website on Mother’s Day, we have been touched by the many moments of Team Nebinski in the air that we wanted to share.
We call them “Postcards from Heaven;” Stan touching and communicating to us from above!
1) Amsterdam – While taking a quick break from enjoying the amazing sites and culture of Amsterdam, a butterfly sat on Susan’s shoulder.
Susan didn't think too much of it at first until a friend in the travel group shared with her the meaning behind it. She learned the wonderful insect is a messenger telling you that you are doing well and that a deceased loved one's spirit lives on.
It was truly an amazing moment and one she will never forget.
2) Heaven by Randy Alcorn - While having a cocktail or two at J Gilbert’s (steak dinner was always a Nebinski family tradition) in McLean, VA, a fellow patron started a casual conversation with Nicole. As the conversation continued, the gentlemen mentioned a book that helped him grieve the loss of a parent.
Learning about the book was intriguing and comforting for her and ultimately the kind stranger actually knew Stan and Susan from River Bend Country Club.
3) Stan’s Donuts in Chicago – While vacationing in Chicago, Dana was pleasantly surprised to see the previously unknown to her, Stan’s Donuts was right next door to her hotel! She had to check it out and fell in love with the place!
